Norah Amstutz

Norah Amstutz is a recent graduate of the MFA program at Notre Dame. She started her career in clay as a studio assistant for Mark Goertzen and worked for him from 2015-2022. She now works from her home studio and garden in South Bend. Her work ranges from atmospheric and functional to narrative and intensively decorated.

Beale Pottery

Milissa and Eric Beale met in Northwest Indiana over the potters wheel, and have been creative co-conspiriators for nearly twenty years. They have complimentary styles, and collaborate to invent colorful and functional works of ceramic art.

Vickie Cook is a former art educator turned potter who uses her years of teaching experience to inform life as a ceramic artist.

Camela Johnson

Camela Johnson of Linden Tree Pottery is an artist and teacher. She creates stoneware pieces out of her home studio in Fort Wayne, IN utilizing nature and the world around her as inspiration.

Eric Kaufmann

Eric is a founding and active member of the Goshen Clay Artist’s Guild where he continues to teach evening classes. Always interested in experimentation in many areas of pottery, Eric specializes in crystalline glazing, and also enjoys occasional wood firing and the production of functional ware.

Dick Lehman

Dick Lehman has been working in clay since 1974, and full-time in clay since 1981. For decades he operated a retail studio with employees. Now he works at a home studio.

Lorie Marsh

Lorie Marsh creates functional and miniature ceramics in her home studio. Her work features dynamic glazes and small porcelain wares.

Sadie Misiuk

Sadie creates comfort and conversation with the use of pottery in everyday life. She entices the user by stamping the object to create a comfortable grip from the pattern of the stamp. There is a sense of structured play when interacting with the work.

Kristen O'Dell

While cultivating and promoting her student’s artwork, Kristen still finds time to continue exploring and developing her own work. Currently she is considering different ways of transferring imagery from her rabbit painting series to the surface of her ceramic pottery. Visiting fellow ceramic artists and attending various technique workshops has offered some ideas as to what these resolved pieces will look like in the near future.

Nathan Pauls

Nathan Pauls/PotterPauls is a potter who makes pots and drawings. He is curious about creating pieces that explore the waves of life. His pieces are characterized by applying waves, deep grooves, line drawings, and found object stamps on the surface of his pots. He is based in Goshen, Indiana.

Riverwood Pottery

Jesse Woodworth of Riverwood Pottery creates wheel thrown and slipcast pottery from earthenware and stoneware clay. He decorates with decals and draws inspiration from his life as a farmer.

Ana Luz Sainz Rodriguez

Ana Luz Sainz Rodriguez makes functional pottery with characteristics of her Aztec heritage.

Justin Rothshank

Justin Rothshank has been working as a studio ceramic artist in Goshen, Indiana since 2009. In 2001 he co-founded the Union Project, a nonprofit organization located in Pittsburgh, PA. His functional and decorative ceramic ware is available for purchase in more than two dozen galleries and gift shops around the country.

Brandon Schwartz

Brandon works out of his home studio where he creates wheel thrown, functional ceramics. He explores depth through glaze combinations, texture, and decals.

Bob Smoker

Bob Smoker draws his inspiration from nature as he works and plays in clay. His work ranges from functional to decorative pieces, dinnerware, and wall hangings.

Jessie Swihart

Jessie has been making and selling pottery since 2016 and has enjoyed continuing her craft in her newly renovated barn studio. She loves exploring new functional shapes and concepts on the wheel. Nature inspires her creative process and her studio reflects that.

Winegar Pottery

Jim & Linda Winegar have been working with clay for over 50 years. They are both graduates of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, with degrees in Art Education. Their studies at IUP, with ceramics instructor Frank Ross, began their lifelong adventures with clay. The Winegars produce a variety of functional and decorative clay pieces.
